Since 2016, Aldermere law students have given free advice on housing, employment and benefits to anyone who walks through the door.
The clinic opens three evenings a week in term, staffed by final-year students and supervised by practising solicitors. Most enquiries are about tenancies and unpaid wages; about one in five ends with a letter that settles the matter without a court.
To mark the anniversary, the clinic is opening a second office in the town library on Saturday mornings.
